Who is Răzvan Ţupa?

Răzvan Ţupa is a Romanian poet. His first book Fetis won the 2002 Mihai Eminescu First Book in Poetry National Award.

Ţupa was born in Brăila and raised in Bucharest. He is a graduate of International Academy for Study of Religions and Culture History in Bucharest. Tupa was included in No Longer Poetry: New Romanian Poetry an anthology edited in English by Heaventree Press, United Kingdom. In 2012, his poetry was selected for "The Vanishing Point that Whistles", an anthology of contemporary Romanian poetry published by Talisman House in U.S..

He was considered among the poets of the so-called The "2000" Generation in Romania. .

His second book of poetry included a CD with audio versions of his poetry. In 2005 and 2006 he recorded video poetry. In 2009, Razvan Tupa produced an one hour feature film presenting 24 young Romanian poets. "Poetry. the power" was shown in Bucharest, Berlin, Chishinev and Prague.

He is the founding editor of the poetry magazine Versus/Versum. He used to be the editor of film section of Time Out Bucharest magazine. In 2005 he launched Poetics of the Quotidian, a series of literary meetings in Club A in Bucharest.

His poems have appeared in the literary journals România Literară, Litere and others. He read his poetry and attended different readings in Paris, Rome, Prague, Bratislava, New York and Berlin. He lives in Bucharest.
