Who is Ria Oomen-Ruijten?
Ria Oomen-Ruijten is a Dutch politician and Member of the European Parliament. She is a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal, is a member of the bureau of the European People's Party group, sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs and is a substitute member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.
Previously, Ria Oomen was a member of the Dutch Parliament. She dealt mainly with social affairs.
From May 1985, Ria Oomen was chair of The Dutch Foundation for Consumer Complaints Boards. The Foundation deals with consumer complains and complains between entreprises. From January 2013 Mr Hein Blocks succeeded Ria Oomen-Ruijten as chair.
