Richard Irving

Who is Richard Irving?

Based

in Silicon Valley, California, Richard Irving has 20 years experience in

venture capital, business management, marketing and engineering in

technology companies including Pond, ATT Bell Labs, Advanced Micro

Devices, Brooktree, and Irving International. Starting as a chip

designer at Bell Labs, and strategic marketing manager at AMD, Richard

later managed three business units at Brooktree with full PL

responsibility. These grew from as small as $1M up to $90M. Richard has

been involved in almost $300M worth of deals, including two initial

public offerings and many private financings. Richard, a founder of

Pond, also serves as Director of SealedMedia and Artisan Software

Tools, and Nanotech and as Chairman of picoChip Designs. Richard has a B.Sc. (1st

Class Hons.) and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Manchester.
