Who is Rick Clausen?

Richard James Clausen is the current offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Calabasas High School. He is also a former American football player who played college football for Louisiana State University and University of Tennessee. During his two years at LSU he played in three games, starting the 2002 game against Ole Miss. At the end of the 2002 season, he transferred to Tennessee, where he walked on to the football team as a backup quarterback, sitting out the 2003 season under the NCAA transfer rules. His older brother Casey also played college football for Tennessee in 2000-2003 and is the head football coach at Calabasas High School. His youngest brother Jimmy currently plays quarterback for the Chicago Bears.

Before coming to Tennessee, Rick Clausen played for the LSU Tigers of Baton Rouge. Upon his return to Tiger stadium in 2005, this time in a Volunteer uniform, Clausen and the Vols down 21-0 at half triumphed to defeat LSU at home 30-27. Clausen went undrafted in the 2005 NFL Draft.
