Who is Sankara Variar?
Sankara Variar was an astronomer-mathematician of the Kerala school of astronomy and mathematics who lived during the sixteenth century CE. His family were employed as temple-assistants in the Shiva-temple at Trkkutaveli near modern Ottapalam.
