Somei Satoh is a Japanese composer.
In the second half of the 20th century and into the 21st century, Somei Satoh is a Japanese composer of contemporary traditional music.
He studied at Nihon University of Art in the early 1970s and is essentially an autodidact in composition.
He wrote his violin concerto for Anne Akiko Meyers.
He lives in Tokyo.
