Who was Sulaiman al-Barouni?
Sulaiman al-Barouni was ruler of Tripolitania and part of the resistance movement against the Italian military occupation of Libya from 1911 to 1916. He was a Berber, originally from the Nafusa region in western Libya. He was also a good novelist and the editor of an anti-Italian Berber nationalist newspaper.
