Who is Tanja Bakić?
Tanja Bakić is a prominent Montenegrin poet, essay and non-fiction writer, translator and the honorary president of the Montenegrin Publishers and Booksellers' Association. She resides in Podgorica, where she has worked variously as an educator, editor, PR officer, interpreter and curator of literary-themed soirées and events.
She holds an M.A. in English literature. She is a William Blake scholar, frequent contributor to literary journals, and critically acclaimed translator of English Metaphysical poets and Romantic poets. Her poetry has been illustrated and theatrically performed. She has attended various European literary events and also held lectures and presented papers at conferences. Her works have been translated into six foreign languages.
