Who is Thomas W. Hofmann?

Thomas W. Hofmann has been Senior Vice President of Sunoco Inc., since January 2002 and Chief Financial Officer since July 1998. Mr. Hofmann began his career with Coopers Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1973 and joined Sunoco Inc. in 1977. Prior to that, he served as Comptroller of Sunoco Inc. from July 1995 to July 1998. Over the course of his distinguished career with Sunoco, Mr. Hofmann has been involved in a number of unique transactions, including significant acquisitions and divestments. He brings a unique strategic, financial and deal-making perspective to the VIASYS Board. Mr. Hofmann has nearly 30 years of expertise in all areas of Finance including Tax, Accounting, Auditing, Treasury, Investor Relations, Budgeting and Performance Analysis and is well-versed in Corporate Governance. Mr. Hofmann has been a Director of VIASYS Healthcare Inc. since April 15, 2004. Mr. Hofmann serves on the Boards of Sunoco Logistics Partners LP, Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Boys Girls Clubs of Greater Philadelphia. Mr. Hofmann has been a Director of Sunoco Partners LLC, a General Partner of Sunoco Logistics Partners LP since October 2001. Mr. Hofmann is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute. Mr. Hofmann received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware and a Masters in Taxation from Villanova University.
