Who is Thommie Gillow?

Thommie Gillow is an English poet who holds the title Bard of Bath for 2007-8 and was short-listed for the Bridport Prize in 2010 and 2011. Her first poetry collect 'My Stepmother Tried to Kill Me' was released by Burning Eye Books in 2014 and was Inpress' Book of the Month.

Notable performances have included festivals at Glastonbury, the Isle of Man, and the Bath Literature Festival. She is a founder member of The Red Boot Band in which she has played the clarinet since 2004. A single mum to daughter Hope Thommie completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Cardiff in 2010.
