Who is Tim Axelrod?
Dr. Tim Axelrod is a Lawrence Livermore astrophysicist working at the Mount Stromlo Observatory. His studies involve searching for inactive black holes, i. e. black holes that are currently not consuming neighbouring stars or other interstellar material. After eight years of research, he found the first occultation of a star by a black hole.
