Who is Tim Pagnotta?

Tim Pagnotta (born January 17, 1977) is the main-lyricist, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Californian rock band Sugarcult. Pagnotta grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He suffers from a hearing problem, tinnitus. Due to damage caused by the amplifiers on stage at Sugarcult shows, and the shows Pagnotta would attend as a fan, his ears were damaged leaving him hearing a high pitched sound in his ears frequently. Because of this, Pagnotta wears earplugs on stage, as do his fellow band members. Pagnotta was featured on the song "Shut It Down" from MxPx's 2007 album Secret Weapon. Pagnotta has also joined the 10th annual Independent Music Awards judging panel to assist independent musicians' careers. He was also a judge for the 6th, 7th, and 9th Independent Music Awards. Recently, Pagnotta was in California producing the debut album of Neon Trees, Habits, for Mercury Records.
