Who is Timothy Barrows?

Timothy A. Barrows, based in the Waltham, MA office of Matrix, has more than 21 years of experience in the venture industry, investing in early-stage information technology companies.

Tim has served or currently serves on the Boards of Directors of OnDisplay (IPO, acquired by Vignette), SilverStream Software (IPO, acquired by Novell), Sycamore Networks (NASDAQ: SCMR), Tivoli Systems (IPO, acquired by IBM ), Cimaron Communications(acquired by AMCC), Empirix, Eroom (acquired by Documentum), FirstSense Software (acquired by Concord Communications), Intelliden, Kalido, LiveVault (acquired by Iron Mountain), Relicore (acquired by Symantec), Starent Networks, Veritech (acquired by SDLI) and Watermark Software (acquired by FileNet).

Prior to joining Matrix, Tim worked in Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. He graduated from Williams College with a major in Political-Economics, and from Stanford University with a Masters in Business Administration.
