Timothy Oakley

Who is Timothy Oakley?

Tim Oakley has over 20 years experience as a financial executive and

over 15 years as an executive in the high technology areas of

telecommunications, software and the internet. He has conducted over

$750M in financial transactions for both public and private companies.

Prior to his current positions, Tim was the CFO for CipherTrust in

Atlanta, GA, the leader in email and messaging security, which grew

from $.5M to $50M in sales during his tenure. Before CipherTrust, Tim

served as CFO of OpenSite Technologies in the Research Triangle Park of

NC, an Internet auction software provider, where he led the company in

the Initial Public Offering process which resulted in its acquisition

by Siebel Systems for $450M. Additional experience includes executive

positions with companies such as MCI (Prior to WorldCom) and Broadband

Technologies. At MCI Tim served as Director of Finance in Washington,

DC and provided controller services for the company's $7 billion

Consumer and Small Business unit. After MCI, he assumed the role of

Chief Financial Officer at Broadband Technologies, a publicly traded

NASDAQ company in the Research Triangle Park of NC. He began his career

in public accounting and advisory services at Coopers and Lybrand (now

PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Raleigh, NC where he performed audit

services and obtained his CPA. Tim holds a Masters of Business

Administration from Emory University, obtained his Bachelor of Science

in Business Administration-Accounting concentration with honors from

East Carolina University.
