Who is Venu Shamapant?

Venu Shamapant joined Austin Ventures in 1999 and focuses on the firm's

Communications and Semiconductors investment areas. Prior to his

arrival, Venu served as vice president of business development for

Telecom Technologies, Inc, following his tenure as engagement manager

for McKinsey Co., and the engineering lead for Mentor Graphics.

Venu received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business,

an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin,

and a B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Osmania

University, India.
