Who is Vera de Spinadel?
Vera Martha Winitzky de Spinadel – mathematician; full emeritus professor of mathematics at the University of Buenos Aires; director of the research Center of Mathematics & Design, having received many I&D grants and personal grants to develop the activities of many research groups; director of Mathematics & Design Laboratory at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning, University of Buenos Aires; president of the International Mathematics & Design Association since 1998, that publishes the Journal of Mathematics & Design twice a year; basic works on geometrical fractals and application of mathematics in architecture and design; her works in the field of "Metallic Means" in development of the classical Golden Proportion got wide international recognition.
