Who was Vernon Forbes?

Vernon "Jake" Forbes was a professional ice hockey goaltender in the National Hockey League. He played on three different NHL teams, starting with the Toronto St. Patricks in 1919–20. Five years later, 1924–25, he suited up for one season and 30 games with the Hamilton Tigers. After several years playing in various minor leagues, he played his final two NHL games with the New York Americans in 1932–33.

He is the last surviving former player of the Hamilton Tigers.
