Who is Vincy Twomey?

Vincent "Vincy" Twomey is an Irish former hurler who played as a centre-back for the Cork senior team.

Twomey joined the team during the 1950 championship and quickly became a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1957 championship. During that time he won three All-Ireland winners' medals, four Munster winners' medals and one National Hurling League winners' medal. He has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion.

At club level Murphy was a multiple county club championship medalist with Glen Rovers.
