Who was Vytautas Kubilius?
Vytautas Kubilius was Lithuanian literary critic and political activist.
He was an author of numerous articles and monographs about Lithuanian literature and writers.
He took part in Sąjūdis movement, a cofounder of the Lithuanian Citizen's Charter movement and the chairman of its Council since 1991.
He is father of Andrius Kubilius, politician.
He died hit by car on a crosswalk.
He was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas.
