Who was Walter Kubisch?

Walter Kubisch was a Luftwaffe wireless radio operator of World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Kubisch was Helmut Lent's long-time radar and radio operator and had participated in 80 of Lent's 102 night fighter victories.
