Who is Walter Scott III?

Walter F. Scott III, born 1967, is the current President and CEO of the Malta based security firm GFI Software. Walter left an earlier position with Acronis in October 2008 after three years of growing the company to over $100 million. As the former CEO of Imceda Corporation, he left after the acquisition by Quest Software to head up the U.S. division of Acronis in September 2005. Walter received an offer to join Embarcadero in 1999, and was brought on as Vice President of Sales in January 2000. He started his career in sales with Banyan Systems and BMC Software. Walter holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine.
