Wawrzyniec Żmurko was a Polish mathematician, professor of Lviv University and Lviv Polytechnic, honoris causa of Lviv University, member of Polish Academy of Learning. He was a president of Polish Copernicus Society of Naturalists. He was the father of a painter, Franciszek Żmurko.
