Who is Wayne Sanstead?

Wayne Godfrey Sanstead was the North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction, serving from 1985 to January 1, 2013. Sanstead holds a doctorate from the University of North Dakota in secondary education, and was the longest serving chief state school officer in the United States. Previously, Sanstead served eight years in the North Dakota House of Representatives and two years in the North Dakota Senate and was the 31st Lieutenant Governor of North Dakota under Art Link.
