Who was Wilfrid Eggleston?

Wilfrid Eggleston was a Canadian journalist and chief censor for Canada from 1942 until 1944. Eggleston was founder and first director of Carleton University's school of journalism. Before World War II, Eggleston worked as a journalist for the Toronto Star, Time Magazine, and many other publications. He also wrote a syndicated newspaper column.

Eggleston was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 1943.

Eggleston wrote 16 books on Canadian history and politics.
