Who was William Clito?
William Clito, was the fourteenth Count of Flanders and titular Duke of Normandy. His surname "Clito" was a Latin term equivalent to the Anglo-Saxon "Aetheling", and the Germanic "Adelinus". Both "Clito" and "Atheling" signified "man of royal blood", or the modern equivalent, "prince".
