Who is William D. Euille?

William D. "Bill" Euille is the mayor of Alexandria, Virginia. He is also one of two alternates representing Virginia on the Board of Directors of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

Euille, a Democrat, graduated from Quinnipiac University in 1972. He was on the Alexandria School Board from 1974 to 1984, and on the Alexandria City Council from 1994 until 2003, when he was elected Alexandria's first African-American mayor. Euille is the CEO of William D. Euille and Associates, a general contracting firm.
