Who is William M Sullivan?
As Director of Educating Tomorrow's Lawyers, William M. Sullivan lends his significant expertise in legal education. As a former Senior Scholar at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, he co-directed the Preparation for the Professions Program, a comparative study of professional education encompassing the fields of engineering, the clergy, nursing, and medicine, as well as law. Sullivan is the lead author of Educating Lawyers: Preparation for the Profession of Law (2007). He is also the author of Work and Integrity: The Crisis and Promise of Professionalism in America (2005). His most recent book is the co-authored study of preparation for business: Rethinking Undergraduate Business Education: Liberal Learning for the Profession. Sullivan holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Fordham University. He is currently Senior Scholar at the Center for Inquiry in the Liberal Arts at Wabash College.
