Who is Adam Madarassy?

Ádám Madarassy is a Hungarian swimmer, who specialized in butterfly events. Madarassy is a member of the swimming team for Louisville Cardinals, and also, a management graduate at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.

Madarassy qualified for the men's 100 m butterfly at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, by clearing a FINA B-standard entry time of 54.28 from the USA Swimming Grand Prix in Columbus, Ohio. He challenged seven other swimmers on the third heat, including three-time Olympians Jeremy Knowles of the Bahamas and Camilo Becerra of Colombia. He raced to fourth place by 0.21 of a second behind Knowles, posting his lifetime best of 53.93 seconds. Madarassy failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed fiftieth out of 66 swimmers in the preliminary heats.
