Who was Adolf Ciborowski?

Adolf Ciborowski was a Polish architect. He was Chief Architect of Warsaw in the years 1956-1964.

Ciborowski was born and died in Warsaw. He was hired as a planner for war-damaged Hannover, and in 1965 received a town-planning prize by the University of Hannover - the first foreigner to receive the award. He also worked as consultant on the master plan in Baghdad, and supervised the reconstruction of Skopje after its destruction by an earthquake in 1963.
