Who is Ahmed Issack Hassan?
Ahmed Issack Hassan was born on March 2, in 1970. He is a Kenyan lawyer who is currently the chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission whose objective is to oversee a free and fair election in 2013 in Kenya. He was among nine commissioners who were appointed by President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga on November 9, 2011, following earlier recommendation by Parliament. He is a Managing partner in the Law firm Ibrahim, Issack and Company Advocates and served as a commissioner in a government inquiry to the conduct of the Artur Brother, mercenaries alleged to have participated in a raid on the offices of the Standard Media Group in 2006.
