Who was Albert Buck?

Albert Buck was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Albert Buck was killed on 6 September 1942 near Novorossiysk, Russia when his car was hit by grenades.
