Who is Alberto Bastardo?
Alberto Bastardo is a baseball pitcher who is currently in the Palfinger Reggio Emilia in the Italian Baseball League.
Bastardo was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Orioles in 2002. After two seasons in the Venezuelan Summer League, he joined the Orioles rookie league team in Bluefield for 2004. He joined the Philadelphia Phillies organization to start the 2006 season but was released and signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers. After three seasons with the Class-A Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino he was selected as a mid-season California League all-star team in 2009, when he went 6-2 with a 3.88 ERA in 14 starts. In 2010, he made 15 starts for the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts and 12 starts for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes. In 2011, he made 15 starts for the Isotopes, finishing with a 4-3 record and 5.38 ERA.
