Who is Alex Wood?
Alex Wood is a college football coach, currently the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Buffalo, and was the head coach for James Madison University between 1995 and 1998. He compiled a 23–22 overall record. He is also the only American football coach to have coached for both the University of Miami and Miami University. He won championships with both teams.
Wood played for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 1975–1977 as a running back and special teams player. He graduated from Iowa in 1979 with a degree in secondary education and social studies. He also began his coaching career as a student assistant at his alma mater in 1978. He has over 30 years in coaching experience at both the college and National Football League ranks.
