Alexander Tschäppät is a Swiss politician. Tschäppät is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland. He has been a member of the National Council of Switzerland from 1991 to 2003 and is again a member of the council since 2011. He has been mayor of Bern since 2005.
