Allan Irwin Basbaum FRS is a Canadian medical researcher, and professor at University of California, San Francisco. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine.
He founded Solace Pharmaceuticals, Inc., in March 2006. He is on the advisory board of Neurogesx.
