Who was Amalia Wilhelmina Königsmarck?
Amalia Wilhelmina Königsmarck was a Swedish noble, known as a dilettante artist, amateur actor, and poet.
Daughter of Conrad Christoff Königsmarck and Maria Christina Wrangel, sister of Philip Christoph Königsmarck, Aurora Königsmarck and Carl Johan Königsmarck, and paternal niece of Otto Wilhelm Königsmarck. Married to count Carl Gustaf Lewenhaupt in 1689.
She belonged to the royal court-dilettantes among the students of Ehrenstrahl. Her known paintings include a self-portrait, a portrait of her sister Aurora, of the noble Katarina Ebba Horn and of Sophia Dorothea of Hanover.
As did her sister Aurora, she participated at the amateur theatre of the royal court encouraged by the queen, Ulrika Eleonora of Denmark. She also wrote poetry.
