Who is Andrew Place?
Andrew Place was an English ice dancer. With partner Lynn Burton, he won the gold medal at the 1990 British Figure Skating Championships. They went on to finish 12th at the European Figure Skating Championships and 17th at the World Figure Skating Championships in 1990. The following season, he teamed with Melanie Bruce, and they went on to win the 1992 national title. The duo finished 17th at the 1992 European Figure Skating Championships, 17th at the 1992 Winter Olympics, and 19th at the 1992 World Figure Skating Championships. He later joined forces with Clair Wileman, with whom he won a pair of silver medals at the British championships. They also finished 19th at the 1995 European Figure Skating Championships.
