Who was Andrey Goncharov?
Andrey Alexandrovich Goncharov was a Soviet theatre director, drama pedagogue and author. Goncharov, the People's Artist of the USSR, received numerous state awards, including Order of the Hero of Socialist Labour and Order of Lenin. For more than thirty years Goncharov was the head of the Moscow Mayakovsky Theatre. He is the author of four acclaimed books on the drama theory.
