Angelique Rockas is the South African born Greek actress who singlehandedly founded Internationalist Theatre, the first seriously multi-racial and multi-national theatre company to perform classics like Brecht's "Mother Courage and her Children", Genet's "The Balcony", the British premiere of the Argentinian' playwright Griselda Gambaro's anti-fascist "The Camp", the world Uk premiere of Pirandello's "LIOLA", in the London of the 80's. She caused a revolution in the casting landscape of UK theatre. Athol Fugard – was on the company's advisory board.
