Who was Anna Roleffes?
Anna Roleffes, better known as Tempel Anneke, was one of the last witches to be executed in Braunschweig, Germany. Her trial, translated into English and published in 2006, has become relatively well known in the historical community as a complete and readable inquisitorial trial record—a rarity.
