Who was Annie Romein-Verschoor?
Anna Helena Margaretha Romein-Verschoor was a Dutch writer and historian. She received the Constantijn Huygens Prize in 1970, and was the recipient of numerous other awards.
On August 14, 1920 she married the Dutch journalist and historian Jan Romein.
Currently, KLM is operating a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 named in her honor.
