Who is Ard van der Steur?
Gerard Adriaan van der Steur is a Dutch politician and lawyer. As a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy he has been an MP since June 17, 2010. He focuses on matters of judiciary, constitutional and administrative law.
He was a member of the municipal council of the former municipality of Warmond from 2002 to 2006 and has been a member of its successor the municipal council of Teylingen since 2006. In both cases he was respectively is also VVD fraction leader.
Van der Steur studied law at Leiden University.
