Who is Arige Ramaswamy?
Arige Ramaswamy was a noted social activist. He belonged to the mala community. Arige Ramaswami, a notable Dalit leader and social activist from Secunderabad, worked with Bhagya Reddy Verma, S. Venkat Rao and other activists, who organized the Dalits in the early twentieth century. Recognizing the backwardness of the Madiga, he formed Arundhatiya Association for their welfare.
