Who was Arnold Sutermeister?
Arnold Sutermeister was a contractor in the West of United States. Sutermeister was also a Captain in the Civil War, where he was Second Brigade Captain and commanded a battery under William T. Sherman.
He was married to Louise Johanna Leibnitz Sutermeister. On November 16, 1869, his son Arnold Henry Sutermeister was born in Fort Wayne. They had another daughter, Louise.
