Who is Arthur Peters?

Arthur Gordon Peters, DD was a Canadian Anglican bishop in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Peters was educated at the University of King's College and ordained in 1963. After a curacy at Waverly he became Rector of Weymouth. He held further incumbencies at Annapolis-Granville and Christ Church, Sydney before being appointed bishop coadjutor of Nova Scotia in 1982. Two years later he was appointed its full diocesan. In 1997 he became Archbishop of Nova Scotia and Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Canada, retiring in 2002.
