Who is Bernie Hore?

William Bernard "Bernie" Hore was an Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian Football League.

Hore, a defender, could also play as a ruckman and came to Geelong from New South Wales. He made most of his appearances in 1937 and 1938, playing 19 games in each year. In the 1937 VFL Grand Final win over Collingwood, Hore had 21 kicks from the back pocket.

His football career ended in 1940 due to World War II and he served in the Northern Territory with the 23rd/21st Battalion during the conflict.
