Carl V. Burger was an American "artist and writer of children’s books about animals and natural history." He is known for his children's and youth literature illustrations for the Newbery Award winning novel Old Yeller by Fred Gipson; Little Rascal by Sterling North, and The Incredible Journey by Sheila Burnford.
