Who was Charlie Wilson?

Charles Woodrow Wilson was a professional baseball player. Nicknamed "Swamp Baby", he played parts of four seasons in Major League Baseball for the Boston Braves and St. Louis Cardinals, mostly as either a shortstop or third baseman.
