Who is Craig G. Rogers?
Craig G. Rogers, is an American urologist and the director of Renal Surgery at the Vattikuti Urology Institute at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. and director of Urologic Oncology at West Bloomfield Hospital in Michigan. Dr Rogers is known for pioneering minimally invasive robotic kidney surgeries using da Vinci Surgical System including single incision robotic surgeries. He was the first surgeon to utilize ultrasound probe in robotic kidney surgery. He is actively researching other robotic kidney surgery innovations such as utilization of barbed suture for knotless kidney wound closure or nanoknife technology. On February 9, 2009 he performed the first twittered live robotic surgery. Rogers is listed “Top Doc” of Hour Detroit Magazine, featured on the TV series of "Minds of Medicine".
