Who is Cyrus Vandrevala?

Cyrus Vandrevala is an Indian private equity investor and philanthropist who started investing in technology businesses in his 20s and now has global investments in a multiple of public and private companies ranging from Telecom, infrastructure, energy, real estate, food and cement.

Vandrevala has made major donations to The Elephant Family, a charity set up to raise money and awareness to save the endangered species with life-size Indian elephants placed all over London in summer 2010. Vandrevala and his wife, Priya, have also set up a foundation in their name – The Vandrevala Foundation - to help fund sufferers from MS and mental illness.

Vandrevala is an international venture capitalist and philanthropist. As Co-Founder and Chairman, Intrepid Capital Partners, Vandrevala is a leading investor in private and public companies that successfully operate in emerging markets, such as the BRICs, particularly those that leverage cross-border synergies. Has founded and successfully operated companies in India, the US, the Middle East and Russia, and has invested in over 100 companies. Actively supports the cause of mental health and multiple sclerosis through The Cyrus and Priya Vandrevala Foundation.
